God is the Creator of all things. He made the world and everything in it, including us, for His glory (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 43:7). He is perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), and righteous in all His ways (Psalm 145:17). As our Creator, He deserves our wholehearted love, worship, and obedience (Matthew 22:37–38).
But from the beginning, mankind rebelled against God. Adam, our first representative, disobeyed God's command—and through him, sin entered the world (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12). Since then, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Our hearts are naturally inclined toward evil (Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10–12), and the just penalty for our sin is death—both physical and eternal (Romans 6:23).
We cannot save ourselves by good works or religious rituals. Even our best efforts are stained by sin (Isaiah 64:6). Left to ourselves, we are without hope and under God’s righteous judgment (Ephesians 2:1–3; John 3:36).
But God, in His mercy, sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save sinners (John 3:16–17). Fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9), Jesus lived the perfect life we could never live, fulfilling all righteousness (Matthew 5:17; 1 Peter 2:22).
Then, in love, He laid down His life as a substitute for His people (John 10:11; Isaiah 53:5–6). On the cross, Jesus bore the wrath of God in the place of sinners (Romans 3:25–26; 2 Corinthians 5:21). He died, was buried, and rose again on the third day, conquering sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 4:25). His resurrection is the guarantee of eternal life for all who trust in Him (John 11:25–26).
4. Salvation Is by Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone
We are not saved by anything we do, but by what Christ has done. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5). We receive it by turning from our sin (repentance) and trusting in Jesus Christ alone (Mark 1:15; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9–10).
To believe the gospel is not merely to affirm a set of facts, but to entrust your whole life to the risen Lord (John 20:31). True faith results in a transformed heart and a new life (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20). Believers are united to Christ, adopted into God's family, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and empowered to walk in newness of life (Romans 8:1–4; Galatians 4:4–6; Philippians 1:6).
5. The Call to You
This gospel is not just a message to be heard—it is a summons to be obeyed (Acts 17:30). God now commands all people everywhere to repent and believe the good news (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38). There is salvation in no one else (Acts 4:12), and there is no other hope for your soul.
If you will turn from your sin and trust in Christ, you will be saved (Romans 10:13). You will be reconciled to God, your sins forgiven, and your eternity secured (Colossians 1:21–22; 1 John 5:11–12). But if you continue to reject Christ, you remain under judgment (John 3:18).
